Current Entry Requirement(s) to get into Bali – updated January 2023
Yayyy, great news! The government has dropped all quarantine requirements for foreign travellers coming into Bali. Furthermore, if you are a national (i.e. passport holder) from one of the following countries:
Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) eligible countries:

Here are the requirements to obtain Visa on Arrival :
- Passport valid for 6 months since date of entry;
- Return or onward ticket (which indicates the date of departure from Indonesia);
- Insurance that includes a coverage for Covid-19 treatment in Indonesia.;
- Visa on Arrival fee Rp. 500.000,-
- Other relevant documents as requested by Covid-19 Task Force (please refer to Indonesia health protocols below).
Please prepare your documents and follow the health and safety measures in Indonesia.
If you are not a national from any of the countries eligible for VOA, then you will need to apply for a Visitor visa (E-Visa) before you fly - these include but is not limited to:
- 211 A Visa; This visa includes tourist, emergency, business, film, medical visit, official visit, yachters and G20 or the 144th International Parliamentary Union (IPU) meetings.

Indonesia applies the following health protocols updated January 2023 until further notice.
- Have proof of full Covid-19 Vaccination (x2 doses) or Medical Exemption letter
- Download Peduli Lindungi App to upload Vaccine Certificates (however, if certificates do not get verified on the app - you can show a copy of your printed vaccine certificate)
- Have an exit ticket flight out of Indonesia if you got VOA or B211A visas
